Básì pa lang nga maumpawán ang masakít; kabáy pa! Perhaps the sick person may yet recover; may it be so! Kabáy pa! Amen! Pangabáy-to wish, desire. N.B. "kabáy" at times also has the meaning of "perhaps, perchance, may be" e.g. Indì kabáy siá magabút? Perhaps he will not come?
