To belie, give the lie to, deny the truth of, gainsay, contradict another's statement, contravene, negative, impugn, traverse, rebut. Nagahimutíg siá sang ginsúmbung sa íya. He denies what he was accused of. Ginhimutigán níya ang sinúgid ni Fuláno. He contradicted the story told by N.N. (see butíg).
