Meaning of panalá

Freq. of dalá-to carry, etc. See pandalá.

To glean, gather rice, wheat, etc., left after the harvest. (see panagílò, panígput, pamíngkong).

(B) Freq. of sálà-to leave behind. Ginpanálà nánda sa baláy ni Fuláno ang mga tabungós nga sinúdlan kang mga turulán-on. They left behind the baskets filled with vegetables in N.N.'s house.

Freq. of salâ. To confess, own to a fault, acknowledge a mistake, admit being in the wrong, say "salâ ko".-It is my fault, I am to blame. My mistake. Frequently this panalâ is almost identical in meaning with súmpà, panúmpà-to swear, take an oath, declare under oath. "Salâ ko" may also mean (according to the context): If what I say is not true, I am a liar (am committing the sin of telling lies).
