Meaning of trómpo

(Sp. trompo) A peg-top, spinning-top, whipping-top; a pawn in the game of chess. Ang trómpo may puyá ang kasíng walâ. The trómpo has a sharp (metal) point, the kasíng has not. (see kasíng, torómpo).
